● Removing the Mandrel
Our silver-plated, copper-core mandrels remain securely in place throughout the entire catheter assembly process. These mandrels are designed to be pliable, facilitating effortless removal. Once your catheter is finished, a simple outward pull on the mandrel ends reduces its diameter, allowing your PTFE-lined catheter assembly to effortlessly slide off.
● Strike Layer Enhances Adhesion
Our PTFE liners on mandrels can be customized with a thin thermoplastic outer layer, known as a "strike layer", to augment adhesion. This additional layer significantly enhances the bond strength between the etched PTFE surface and the catheter assembly.
